Roots in Brooklyn

Legacy of Community Service

That spirit runs in the family. Kenny’s cousins, Gavin and Anton, helped organize some of the biggest basketball leagues in the city Conrad Mcrae and Rose Classics Tournament - with no help from the city. Kenny himself grew up playing in the Dean Street and later gave back as a football coach at Nazareth High School.

Why Kenny Is Running

A Fresh Voice For City Council

Kenny is an MTA train operator on the B line and a process server. Previously, Kenny worked for Council Member Lou Fidler and Frank Seddio,Kenny’s father Cliff Lever was also a neighborhood organizer that started the Crown Heights Leo Club, Summer camps , community trips and safety patrols, where he saw firsthand what effective public service can look like. Kenny’s not a career politician - he's a proud union member, working New Yorker who believes government should work for the people, not the other way around.

Campaign For People Not Politics

Kenny’s running for City Council because he’s tired of seeing the same people make the same decisions without listening to the people who were born and raised here. He believes in full community input, transparency, and helping families keep the homes they’ve built their life and family in.

This campaign isn’t about politics - it’s about people. And Kenny is ready to be a voice for all of us. He guarantees he will be the most visible and accessible City Council member in New York City, making sure your voice is heard in government.

Core Question

Every change should start with the question:

Does this make life easier or harder for the residents who built this neighborhood?

Kenny has Build A Legacy

For the last three years, Kenny has stepped up as a community organizer in Prospect and Crown Heights, standing up for longtime residents being pushed out and fighting to make sure the voices of people who've historically been left out and are still being left out are finally heard. He was instrumental in saving Mitchell’s Soul Food, a 55-year-old Black-owned restaurant in Prospect Heights that was at risk of closing - not just preserving a business, but a piece of neighborhood history.
